UK Fiance income - is it important how much Fiance earns?

Post by wmmyg » Thu Mar 31, 2011 11:25 am

I am sponsoring my Japanese girlfriend for a UK Fiance visa. I do not have a problem proving my income, but my fiance is worried about proving her income. She has not earned anything the last six months as she was in the UK visiting me. She is worried that the bank statements which she has to submit look so empty.

Is Fiance income vitally important, or it is fine for us just to explain why she has no income the last six months? I have already enough money to support the both of us without "recourse to public funds".

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,

William

Your fiancée is misunderstanding the requirement. Simply, the financial test is the need to show that she will not need to claim certain Public Funds. So based upon what you have posted, it will not be a problem her passing that test.
