ILE Supporting Docs Review

Post by Bluegrass Lass » Wed Sep 07, 2011 10:00 pm

Hi,

I'm a first time poster, and I hope some of the experts here can review my list and give me any advice as to whether I'm missing any pertinent documentation. I've been married to my UK citizen husband for the last 7 1/2 years, living in the US all this time. I will be applying for ILE since I have also passed the KOL exam.

Application
Cover letter (requesting ILE and pointing out my source of income from unemployment insurance)
Visa Application
Passport photo (I used a booth in Scotland for the photo, I assume its the right size)
Biometrics letter (once I have it stamped)
Priority Processing Receipt (once I pay for it)
KOL Pass certificate
My Passport
My husband's UK Passport

Personal
Marriage certificate

Sponsor
My Husband's Support Letter
His Employment Contract
His Paystubs (only 2months worth since he just started the job in June)
His Bank Statements (only 2months since it was opened in June)
Joint US Bank Savings Statement (6months worth - shows we have approx $20k balance)
Personal Budget

Accommodation
Tenancy Agreement (which we both signed in July)
** Should I write up a description of the property - we did say it was a 2bdrm flat in his support letter **

Relationship Proof
2010 Tax Returns (w/ W2s, 1099s, 1098s) --> Do I need to include all the schedules, or just the actual 1040 itself?
2009 Tax Returns (w/ W2s, 1099s, 1098s)
2008 Tax Returns (w/ W2s, 1099s, 1098s)
2007 Tax Returns (w/ W2s, 1099s, 1098s)
2006 Tax Returns (w/ W2s, 1099s, 1098s)

Intervening Devotion
Boarding Passes showing I visited my OH for 6 weeks from July to Sept.

Optional Docs - should I include these docs or not? I don't want to overload them, but don't want to be denied either
- Joint US Bank Checking account statements (6mo)
- Various bills showing we've lived together (car insurance, utility bills, homeowner's insurance, vehicle records, etc - we could cover the last 5 yrs or so)
- Prior lease agreements
- We bought a house together but not sure what document to use to show it (but this house did get foreclosed on due to my job loss - is that a problem?)
- Scanned copy of my husband's US passport (is this a necessity?)
- My proof of unemployment insurance income (this likely will not continue once I move, but it does show where my income has come from the last 6mo)
- My husband's paystubs from his previous US job (they are just printouts & we can't get them stamped since he doesn't work there anymore)
- My resume/CV (I mentioned that I plan on working, so should I include this?)
- Proof of my degrees (would transcripts work for this, or does it need to be a letter from my uni stating the degrees conferred?)

* Should I make photocopies of everything and include this in the visa package?
* Do I need to include a pre-paid return envelope to receive my visa back? Or is this paid for when I submit the visa app online?

Is there anything else you all can think of that I need to include? If not, I plan on submitting the visa online probably by tomorrow or Friday at the latest.

Thanks!
