ILR 10 year - no original entry

Hi there,

I've reached a 10 year legal stay in UK (no gaps) and would like to apply for ILR. However i've a problem: I arrived to UK on Travel Document as i was 17 and received my passport (adult) in UK. My Travel Document was retained by my consular department when i received my passport and i do not have my original entry as well as my first student visa extension. I do however have a Police Certificate stating i arrived on 30/09/01 but it was issued on 02/07/03.
I can't get any help from my consul and am wondering if it's worth applying for ILR and explaining everything in the letter (i do have a letter from one of the colleges where i was studying English at the time when i extended my visa for the first time). I also requested a SAR from HO and intend to send through any additional information i find after i send my application.
