Wife's ILR
Hello everyone.
I am about to apply for my wife's Indefinite leave to remain visa. My wife is currently on a two year spouse visa that is valid until the 12/03/2012. I am trying to get all the evidence together. But I am more than a little anxious about a few things. Firstly my wife has spent in total, a number of months in her home country. This has been mainly due to the fact that her father has terminal cancer. And she wanted to spend time with her family. Does this affect the likelihood of a successful application? Additionally, my wife has not worked in the whole of those two years. (Economic situation is not good). However she did have one job for a period of three months. She is working now, but that is as an unofficial part-time care assistant. So it's difficult to prove.
My wife and I would be most grateful if anyone has been is a similar situation and has been successful. Also, what sort of evidence should I concentrate on?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I will be applying using Set(m) and I (sponsor) am a British Citizen.
Many thanks
James
