Visit to China for a week

Post by ashubhatt » Tue Feb 14, 2012 10:02 am

Hi Guys

I am an Indian citizen with Tier1 visa which expires on 08-MAY-2012 & I need to visit China (Shangai) on a business trip for a week. My query is what problems can I have at the Immigration check on my return to uk?

I read somewhere that I can't go out of the country if my visa has less than 90 days of validity? Is this true.

I checked with the Chinese Embassy(UK) & they mentioned that they dont have problem issuing me visa till my visa(Good News).

Please advice

You should have no problem entering the UK if your visa is valid. There are no restrictions.

You'll be fine for coming back to the UK, but some countries [Schengen ones for example] will not issue a visa unless you have permit to return to your country of residence with validity of more than 3 months.

Yes you are correct. I visa application got declined for schengen countries because i didn't have 6 months valid visa. Chinese embassy website says same that I should be having 6 months valid visa, however, contacting them directly they said that I still be able to apply(weird).
