Visiting UK with Italian permesso di soggiorno?

Hello everyone,

I have a doubt regarding entering UK. I have Indian nationality and Indian passport, currently I am working in Italy and possess valid Italian 'Permesso di Soggiorno- lavoro subordinato'.

I have done my graduation in UK, but currently don't posses any visa for UK, however I would like to revisit my friends back in UK. Can I enter and visit UK only with my Indian passport and Italian permesso di soggiorno? I know for certain that I can travel to all other schengen countries just with above mentioned documents, but would like to confirm the same for UK!?!

Unfortunately the UK is NOT part of the Schengen agreement. You'll need to get a visa (visitors) to enter since you do not hold an Italian passport.

even if you have longo soggiorno you are not allowed to enter uk or ireland without visa .
