Visitor visa - mother (housewife) - home country ties documents?

Post by ukvisat2 » Sun Nov 10, 2019 3:32 pm

I am planning to apply for a UK visitor visa for my mother, who is a housewife (no bank account, no property, no income).

We are expecting a baby in the UK, so we would like to invite her for this special moment for 2-3 weeks.
I am the only one who is living in the UK in my family (2 sisters & 2 brothers). My father had a stroke 8 years ago, so he is paralyzed and my mother is a carer for him.

Planning to submit the following documents.

Sponsors documents:
  • Sponsor Invitation letter
  • Sponsor's Passport Copy
  • Sponsor's UK Visa Copy
  • Sponsor's Payslips (6 Months)
  • Sponsor's Bank Statements (6 Months)
  • Sponsor's Accommodation Proof & NOC from the landlord
  • Sponsor's Utility Bill Copy
Mother:
  • Appointment Letter Printout
  • Online Application Printout (Back To Back)
  • Original Passport (the only stamp of 30-days visa for Saudia, do not have any travel history other than this)
  • 4 Passport Size Photographs as per UKVI Standard
  • Marriage Certificate (Urdu & English translation)
  • NADRA Family tree & family photo
  • Letter from the Doctor about my father's health
  • Consent from my siblings that they will take care of the father.
  • Six Months Bank Statement (my brother account, Attested)
  • Covering Letter from Applicant
I know that nowadays chances are slim to get the UK visitor visa. I just want to give it a go.
Can you please suggest any other documents/evidence make this case strong?
Many thanks

I think you are conscious of the situation here but you covered all angles.

It is what it is. You cannot make it look better. You can just try to present it are accurately as possible and hope for the best.

Did she travel to the UK or other countries in the past? If yes, especially if she went to EU, Australia, USA... like to visit other family members, that can be a great asset. You can then add her travel history and copies of her visas to the application. That always makes the case stronger.

Under whose name is the house under? A cover letter to explain ties to the home county is essential as well as where her income and finances come from, in this case the brother.

As she does have family in her home country she does have ties so you should be okay

Apply as soon as you can as if you do have a rejection you can address the refusal way before baby arrives (inshaAllah!)

Husband's timeline - overstayer 11 yrs
08/16 - FLR (FP) Partner, refused 02/18, 03/18 - JR permission refused with merit
08/18 - FLR FP (Partner) PSC - Approved
07/20 - FLR FP to FLR M Switch - Approved, 03/23 FLR M Ext Approved.
