Expired Passport and eligibility date.

I am eligible for British Citizenship next month, but my Indian passport expires this month. Can I still file with an expired Indian passport or do I need to renew it! Please advice.

You don't need a "Valid" passport for your BC application. unless 'you' need this to travel abroad in next 3-4 months.

I don't think there is a requirement for BC application to hold a foreign passort which is valid for atleast 'x' months.

However, its recommended to go passport extension and apply, just incase if you have to travel during BC application+British passport+Indian visa, which is roughly about 3-5 months.

If you go for OCI, then much longer or if fall into the few lot who have to wait good few months for their BC application to be processed.
