Need clarifications on ILR

Hello Everyone,

I'm a dependent wife of British citizen. I have got my visa for 27 months in july 2012 when my husband was having his ILR. I want to know few details before applying for my ILR.(I have applied for my dependent visa before 9th July 2012 so old rules apply for me)

1. I have an engineering degree in India with an english medium certificate. Do i need to write any tests related to english in UK?
(I already completed my LIFE IN UK exam)
2. What is the maximum duration that i can stay outside of UK in these 27 months. (I'm planning to goto India now, does it have any effect if i go at this time before applying for ILR.)

Any information on these are highly appreciated.

if your qualifications come on the points based calculator you dont need to get english certificate to prove english.
just take a print out and you shall be sorted

as far as i know dependants are not affected by stay outside the country but best to be with in the 180 days mark in a year.
