I finally manage to get my ILR this week without much hassle. I have been a silent reader of this forum for a long time.
This forum has been a great help for the last 5 years during my 2 extension previously. This is so up there compare to HSMP forum who actually charge £50 for access to their forum. Moderators and creators of this website, great job and this is helping lots of hard working immigrants..! Thanks a ton.. !

Summary of my application below :

Appointment was at 8.00, reached Croydon by 7.15 and waited in Queue. Got in by 7.45. They took all the documents and bio-metric information by 8.05 and communicated the result by 9.45.

Few highlights of my application
- Just provided 4 dividend vouchers (Oct-2014/Jan-2015/Feb-2015/June-2015)
- No payslips submitted
- in Application I entered 4 years 9 months for time spent in UK
- I Applied exactly 27 days before my 5th anniversary(15/07 - 18/06).
- All my tax payments and corporate tax payments were up to date.
- For English I submitted PBS print out and my original degree certificate

I am also working as a limited company director and have my ILR application due next month. I hope you will be able to help me with few queries that I have.

From your document list, I saw few things mentioned below, that I need information on.

-business invoices by me
-remittance advises by agency
-business contracts

What do you mean exactly by the first two and what kind of documents are these?
Are these 3 documents really required?

Business invoices by me
This is the invoice generated by your company for the work done for your client.

Remittance advises by agency
Most of the agencies do provide payment confirmation if you are limited company director

Business contracts
This is the legal contract of your work.


If you are into contracting you should be familiar with all of these. best is to check with your accountant who may be able to help.

Congrats Bond.Boy. If possible post your cover letter , so that it would be a great help for people who will be attending based on dividends income only .

I did not mention anything about my dividends or limited company. I just mentined about my absences

Dear Sir/Madam,

Sub: Reference to SET (O) application form for xxx xxx xxxx

In reference to my attached application for indefinite leave to remain under Tier-1(general) category, I would like to bring few details to your attention. I will be lawfully completing my 5 years on 15/07/2015. My original Tier-1 was valid from 15/07/2010 and I first entered UK on 06/09/2010 which is 54 days from the original visa validity (well within 90 days). Hence my continuous period calculation starts from effective date of the visa i.e. 15/07/2010.

In the last 5 years none of my absences exceed beyond 180 days in twelve consecutive months. I am also enclosing list of my absences in this qualifying period below for your reference. I am also submitting my cancelled passport & copy which have necessary entry/exit stamps to prove these journeys. Please do not hesitate to contact me in case of any questions.

Hi Every one,
Hope all members are keeping well and fine.
I switched to Tier 1 general in 2011 under Self employment (Sole trader) . Now I have switched business entity from sole trader to limited company . My ILR due next year . I would need advice from senior members what documents need to be sent with application.
