Australian moving to Denmark help!

Hi there,

I hope someone can help me get some clarity on this...

I am an Australian and my partner is Danish and we are having a baby in 6 weeks and I am trying to understand how I can stay in Denmark.

Has anyone had experience with this?

I'm pretty sure you can get Danish permanent residence as a spouse of a Danish citizen. Check with the local Danish consulate or if in Denmark the local government office.

Are you the Crown Prince and Princess of Denmark? Sounds like it, Australian married to a Danish and wants to settle in Denmark.

As an aside, is there a special affinity between the Australian and Danish people? While in Paris for a short trip, I met a lovely lady, whose father was Danish, mother Australian and she was born in the US, so she had all three citizenships.
