Can a T2 ICT Dependent apply as a T2 Gen Main Appl within UK

Hi,

I'm on a "T2 ICT" and my wife is a "T2 ICT Dependent". Can she apply for as a "T2 Gen Main Applicant" within UK. Or she has to go back to India to get the visa? How does it work? Kindly advise its a lil urgent.

No, she can't apply within UK, i am afraid.
She needs a restricted CoS from her esteemed employer and needs apply for visa from india.

Your family members can apply online if they’re your:

They can also ask to use the priority service.

You can get a same-day decision at a premium service centre. You must book an appointment in advance and fill in the paper form.

It’s best for your dependants to apply at the same time as you but they can apply at a later date.

Your family members can’t apply in the UK as your dependant if they hold a visitor visa.

Hi,

I have received a CoS from my employer, by mistake they have mentioned the old passport no. However, recently I have got my passport renewed. Employer says, they have given some "Sponsor notes" on the CoS system, dont know what this means.
Is that ok? Can I still carry my old & new passport while submitting the application and give a comment in the application form to refer to the "Sponsor Notes" section? What needs to be done, Plz help...

I think sponsor notes in this case should be fine. You do need to submit both our passports as part of the application.

Hi All,

My sponsor has issued a CoS which has below. However, he has issued a "Maintenance Letter". When I noticed and asked him to rectify, he said he cannot update the CoS but has updated the "sponsor Notes" saying to consider the Maintenance Letter. Is it ok?

Tick to confirm the sponsor certifies maintenance for the migrant: N

CoS saying as No and I producing Maintenance Letter and asking UKBA to look at the "sponsor notes", is this ok?

I tried contacting an immigration consultants, they are charging me £999 + vat just to help in getting a T2G Dependent visa. I feel its way too high so would like to do it myself using the same day premium service.

I need your advice on how to do it. My wife has received the T2G visa and she is traveling to UK next week. I'm on T2 ICT, would like to shift to T2G Dependent.

I want to book a premium appointment for myself. When I looked in UKBA website (https://www.gov.uk/ukvi-premium-service ... ppointment) its shows the below list. Which one should I select to apply for T2G Dependant? Am I looking at the right link? Please help. Thank you.

You should only apply once your spouse is back in the UK.

Tier 2 Dependent is an online application ONLY and to book an appointment, it is likely past of the online visa application process after you have completed the form and paid the immigration health surcharge.

Hi,

A person who is in UK on a Tier 2 Gen Dependant can move to Tier 2 Gen Main applicant.
The situation is as follows:

1) Employee currently working on a Tier 2 Gen Dependant visa.
2) His employer is ready to sponsor Tier 2 Gen, they need to do a RLMT. However are worried that the employee may not get visa due cooling-off as he previously shifted from ICT to Tier 2 Gen Dependant.
3) Does cooling off period apply to the employee. He was on ICT, then moved to T2G Dependant. Now can the employee move from T2G Dep to T2G Main?
4) DO the employer need to worry to sponsor T2G?

Moved from ICT to T2 gen Dependant on 28-Jan-2016.
28-Jan-2016 is visa start date on T2 Gen dependant.

He will NOT be able to apply for a Tier 2 General until 12 months after he has been granted Tier 2 G Dependent visa.

The cooling off period DOES apply to him and he will also apply from home country once 12 months have passed.

Can the employee continue to work in the UK for the same employeer and wait for 12 months to get over.
Once the 12 months are over, can the employee move from being T2G Dependant to T2G Main applicant? Is this a possible option? And yes for stamping employee needs to go to India for sure.

Yes, you need 12 full months as a Tier 2 Dep before you can apply for Tier 2 G main applicant.

Employee can continue to work in any company in the UK.

For Tier 2 G, RLMT will need to be when you near the 12 month cooling off end.
