Tier 1 Dependant Visa- Few questions

Post by sv23367 » Sun Dec 21, 2008 5:00 pm

Hi All
I have just got my Tier 1 General Visa (applied from Chennai). I am planning to apply Tier1 Dependant visa for my wife. I have few questions related to Main applicant in the VAF 10 Form.(Page No:5 Part 7)
For the questions from 7.13 to 7.19

1. The main doubt is : Since i have applied from India , I will not be having an employment in UK and i will not know the details related to the employment in UK. Can i simply say , NA (Not Applicable) for these questions.. Iam typing those questions . please suggest me a suitable reply. I know i dont have answers for these questions, still i would like the Forum members to guide me.

1. If the main applicant is living in UK , what permission do they have to stay there?
2. What job or employment is the main applicant doing in the UK?
3. What is the main applicant's Certificate of Sponsorship number?
4. Address of the company including the postal code?
5. Telephone number of the company including area code?
6. When did/will the main applicant's job begin?
7. When is the job expected to finish?

Senior members , please help me for the above questions.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Didnt you apply for the dependant while you had applied. What did you mention in the application form (VAF-9) "Is your spouse travelling with you within 1 year".
When did you get your Tier-1 stamped

Thanks

Hi push_hsmp,

I was facing same problem and now I got answers of those 7 questions. Now please help me in following scenario.

I had applied for tier-1 visa on 05-jan-2009 and got the visa on 15-jan-2009. I hadn't provided proofs for accommodation.

Now I want to apply for my wife as a dependent.

Questions:

1. My wife was told to provide uk accommodation detail in one of above 7 questions. Is this really necessary though vfs person had asked for it?

If yes, then what are the options for me? Please provide in the details.

2. I had shown my salary account bank statement when I applied for my application (5000 pound). I have maintained this balance till date. Can I use this amount for her as well with latest copy of statement?

3. I have already paid fees for my wife at ahmedabad. Can I use this receipt and can I apply from pune?

Please help me as soon as possible.

Thanks for providing info. I am still facing trouble for my first question? Let me answer inline.
Re: -

*

Proof of Accommodation. (Rent/ Utility Bills/ Mortgage Paper) , applicable only in case of person residing in the UK owning the accomodation.

>>>> I am right now in India only and I will be travelling in April as my visa starts on 20th March 2009, in this case do I require any accommodation proof for dependent's application?

Re:-

*

If accomodation is rented , then a no objection from the owner.

As I am in India only I don't have any kind of accommodation available with me.

Re:-

*

If accommodation is provided by the Company , then a letter from the company is required.

I am yet to apply for the job, right now I don't have any job with me.

Re:-

You can show the maintenence fund from your bank account for your dependents

Thanks. This answers my question no 2.

Re: Applicants need to pay the visa fee at the applicaiton center where they submit their documents.

Thanks again for valuable info.

Please answer my first question as soon as possible, as it is an only blocking factor for me right now. Also, If my relative provide a permission latter stating 'he will provide initial 10 days accommodation to both of us till we find other good place for us". Will this work, if required?

Thanks,
Puruwannafly

Applicants need to pay the visa fee at the applicaiton center where they submit their documents.

It is advisable to submit your application in your respective region. Incase you want to submit your application in another region you need to give documents supporting your stay in that region in the form of either bank statement or tenancy agreement.

We hope the above information has been of help to you. If you require any further assistance please contact us. Our contact details are as given below.

Subject: Query related to tier-1 dependent visa

Hi,

I had applied for tier-1 visa on 05-jan-2009 and got the visa on 15-jan-2009 (Starts on 20-march-2009 & ends on 20-march-2012).

Now I want to apply for my wife as a dependent. I have few queries which I have mentioned below.

Questions:

1. My wife was told to provide uk accommodation detail @ vfs ahmedabad. Is this really necessary?

If yes, then what are the options for me? Please provide in the details as my visa starts on 20-March-2009.

2. I had shown my salary account bank statement when I applied for my application (more than 5000 pound). I have maintained this balance till date. Can I use this amount for her as well with latest copy of statement?

3. I have already paid fees for my wife at ahmedabad and then I decided not to put application. I was told that that fees can be used for one year. Can I apply from *vfs pune* though I had paid it in ahmedabad?

Please help me as soon as possible.

Regards,
Puruwannafly

Hi guys,

I called BHC today just to check how things are going on as i noticed people who applied in pune are getting the visa the fastest. Chennai says they have a huuuggeee backlog due to student visa season, and it will take longer than 15-20 working days. So sit back and relax and wait. Nothing is going to happen very soon. Usually dependant visas take only 4-5days but tats history now atleast for people whoes application goes to chennai for processing.

Cheers.

I am sure this link would be informative for those applying for dependents while the main applicant is still in India.
