Regarding application to Graduate Visa

Post by gajapathyb » Sat Jan 20, 2024 7:39 pm

Hi All,

I have initially got my UK Student Visa for 2 years including Placement Year and since I haven't secured a placement. Now I got my results and received an email from my University stating my visa is curtailed and have got 4 months to apply for graduate visa. I received this email on November 14 2023. Now while creating UKVI account for application it's asking for BRP Number and Expiry Date. Should I enter the new expiry date or the date on my BRP card which is 31-12-2024.

All BRPs expiring 31-12-2024 as they are being scrapped.
Did you receive any curtailment letter from HO or evidence of this from your University?
Seek clarification about the curtailment from your University and proceed accordingly.

I didn't receive any letter from HO but got an email from my University stating my new visa expiry date would be 4 months from 14th Nov 2023.

You do not have a new expiry date, unless UKVI has notified you of one.

Thanks for your response, I just received an email from my University Visa compliance stating they've informed the HO regarding early completion of my degree and I can apply for Graduate Visa. Also in that email they stated visa has been curtailed to 4 months from that email. Hence I got the doubt.

It will be curtailed, but it has not yet been curtailed. It really doesn't matter what date you give, i.e. end date printed on the BRP, end date of your Student permission, or expected curtailed end date. Whatever date it is, you are applying well before that, which is all that matters.
