AIT decision for visit visa refusal

Post by adnan_uk » Fri Mar 06, 2009 10:47 pm

I wonder if someone can advice me from their experience.

My parents and siblings applied for visit visa which was refused initially. The decision was overturned by AIT tribunal.
problem is my brother was in pakistan when he applied for visit visa and it was refused.
Now He is employed in Abu Dhabi. He is required to apply in pakistan Fedex office for Visa but He cant as he is working in Abu Dhabi.Contacted Home office in UK who said that to contact embassy in Pakistan. Pak embassy directs to Fedex office. And Fedex ppl say that he can apply only from pakistan He has to apply in person(not Via post).

They are unable to tell how many days It will take for visa If he applies from pakistan and he cant be in pakistan for more that 2 weeks.
Who is the right department or office to be contacted for Advice..
Many thanks for your Help.

he doesn't have to "APPLY" for the visa as the AIT have allowed his appeal. the decision of the AIT will be sent to the visa section who will call for his passport in order to issue the visa. It can take about a month or so after the AIT hearing to hear anything from the visa section. I suggest he contacts visa section islamabad via email and asks when they intend to ask for his passport. he will then have to present his passport, through gerrys, for the visa to be issued. should be back with him within a week normally. hope this helps. only my past experience though, not a golden rule.
