But once your friend is separated from his dependent, he can inform HO about the change in circumstances and HO can cancel the dependent visa. Guess thats how companies cancels their work permits.
If later he marries he can follow the procedures of applying for dependents.
In the light vein, you said you friend is not yet divorced. Why he is thinking about procedures of applying for dependet if he remarried. Wouldn't that be very early to think about.
