2. Monthly Rent for a fully furnished 1 BHK or Studio with TV, Fridge, Washing Machine etc.
3. Council Taxes (Monthly/Yearly?)
4. Groceries & Stationary for a couple (Monthly)
5. Public Transportation in and around Milton Keynes (Monthly)
6. Internet Connection Deposit/Advance (One Time) (Is this refundable?)

One thing that needs to be understood is that in UK you would need to sign a minimum of 6 month contract for rental. Which essentially means that you would have to stay there for atleast 6 months. Not sure how you decided upon Milton Keynes though unless you are sure of getting a job somewhere in vicinity or in London.

Regarding transport for Milton Keynes -> Buses; few and far between and one essentially needs a car to live in Milton Keynes unless you rent a place near CMK (Central Milton Keynes).

Thanks applyhsmp & chetanojha for all the info.

Is it possible to get some kind of shared accommodation for short term (around 3 to 4 months, until i get a job) which will be safe and affordable. I wanted something without this 6 months mandatory contract.

It should be definately possible to get house sharing. Along with teh URLs mentioned above, try findaproperty.co.uk for house share. If you are not particular about MK, you can try areas such as Wembley, EastHam etc, which has good desi population.

Agree. These areas are quite well connected, cheap and you get all desi stuffs/food too. Good for people coming to look for work. Once you get job you can move on.
