Transfer of Tier1 Visa

Post by Asif786 » Thu Oct 29, 2009 9:15 am

Hi,

I had got Tier1 Visa stamped in feb 2009 and just recently renewed the passport as I plan to take the trip to UK in Nov 2009.

Wanted to know if i can travel with my visa in the old passport which i will carry along with the new passport.

The reason why i am hesitant to transfer the visa on the passport is because the application states a query, whether any circumstances had changed from the time i was granted a visa.

I feel the officer my question my delayed entry and might alo ask whther i have maintained a bank balance for which i am not ready.

I felt it would be better to travel along with the old passport.

Request boarders to advice.

Yes you can carry your old passport with the visa in it along with the new one and at the immigration you can produce both passports...

once in UK you can send in ur old and new passports with the application form to croydon and a fee of approx 120GBP and get it transfered in UK or you can use it as it is now

Many people prefer to carry two or more passports rather than paying 120 GBP  .
