URGENT...Pls help...can dependent apply with main applicant?

I'm applying for Tier-1 (General) - Migrant from US. Can my wife also apply under Tier-1 (General) - Partner with my application? We filled out two different applications online and paid the fee for both of us already. We have biometric scheduled for Monday, July 12, 2010. Can my wife (dependent) apply now when I'm applying for? or Does she have to wait until my case is approved?

Please please clarify...If she cannot apply together I will have to cancel her biometric tomorrow otherwise I cannot get the fee refunded..

Tier 1 main and dependant applicant can apply together. Just make sure you have enough maintenance funds for both.

Usually the main applicant applies and once visa is granted the dependant applies, so that incase of any refusals you dont lose out visa fees on both the applicants. Having said that, if you are confident, then you can proceed to apply together.

Thanks sapvish. Just to be on the safer side, I've postponed my wife's biometric appointment to 3 weeks later so in time to get my case approved. It seems I cannot get any refund if biometric is taken.

I'm going to send documents Tuesday next week - hopefully I should get the result in 3 weeks. Keeping my fingers crossed!!!
