Absent from UK while in PSW

My friend already with PSW went to his home country for some medical reason and now he want to come back. Is there any rule which restrict him to come back. He is absent for almost three months now. He want to make sure that he will not be send back from the airport. Please if somebody can advice. I made a search on this subject with no result.

He/she can enter UK anytime during the validity of leave to enter/remain (visa). Any questions asked by IO at airport (if any) should be answered honestly & truthfully.
