When to apply for Tier 1 renewal?

Hi everyone,

My Tier 1 (General) visa expires on 09/01/2012.

I want to ensure that I have continuation of visa from 09/01/2012 onwards. When is the ideal time to apply for the extension?

Also I have heard that there is going to be a rule change regarding the points based on earnings in August 2011. Is anyone aware of this?

Any help will be appreciated.

1. Apply during the last month before expiry of current leave.
2. You'll know, like everyone else, when UKBA announces the changes. Rumour mongering is becoming a trend with PBS migrants, unfortunately!
