Can we use applicant fund for maintenance fund for dependent

Post by priyam » Wed Mar 09, 2011 7:46 pm

I have applied for tier 1, i have shown one of my account for maintenance fund requirement of 800 £ for 90 days.

I am planning to apply for my dependent visa for my spouse once i receive my tier 1; if i do so, will i be able to use the same account for maintenance fund requirement for 1600 £ ?

will the overlap period cause any problem ? :?:

Same account - yes.
Same money - not recommended.

e.g. -
800 shown at the time of your application + 800 more for dependant = makes 1600!
In such case, if caseworkers cross-checks with bank statement you submitted at the time of your application or verifies with bank, you may be in trouble.
Unfortunately, no one can tell you whether such checks will definitely be carried out on your application or not! There is a risk and for you to take (or not).
