Hello there, Can anyone help me in this matter. I want to know if I need to request my passport back from ukba ,filling the ROD forms, will my partner's application be withdrawn. He applied FLR M old rules. As in the UKBA website it states that "For all applications other than European and nationality applications, if you request the return of documents, your application will be automatically withdrawn and your application fee will not be refunded. "..what does that mean actually. I need your help. Thank you.

It's referring to the applicant. The Sponsor (in this case you) can request the return of your own documents.
