ILR Date and absences - Please help Amber

Post by draveshiya » Sun Oct 05, 2014 7:14 pm

Hi

AS I understand correctly, one can apply for ILR before 28 days of entry clearance date if arrival in UK is within 90 days from the date of the entry clearance date.

So based on my dates I have come up with the ILR eligibility date please Amber or someone verify it?

Entry clearance 24 Nov 2009
Arrival date 26th Jan 2010
ILR eligibility date start from 28th Oct 2014

Now the main question I have is, what should I mention in the absence reason for the very first year? absence of around 90 days...

I am planning to apply ILR so your earliest reply would be really appreciated

Thanks

An absence of 90 days is less than the permitted 180 days, so i do not see any problems with that.

HI Obie,

I agree it is less than the permitted absence of 180 days however we need to mention something in the form as a reason, right? if I am not wrong then section 6.2 in set O form....what should be the reason I should mention?

I believe this would be a common problem but couldn't find any thread that mentions the reason for the permitted absence....

Thanks for your help
