What are generally the least and most busiest months for the home office to process citizenship applications?

Busiest time is usually March as the fees go up on 6th April and a lot of people try get their applications in before that.

Other than that, it makes no difference when you apply. Some people have been waiting since 2014 other get approval within 2 months.
