ILR Skilled worker Sponsor letter

Hi,

As I will soon meet the eligibility requirements for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) under the Skilled Worker Visa (5-year route), I would like to inquire about the optimal time to submit my application.

Date of Issue on BRP : 07th April 2021
UK Entry Clearance : Valid from : 26th March 2021 - 24th June 2021
Date of Entry in UK : 12th June 2021

26-03-2021 + (27-03-2021 to 27-03-2026) 5 years - 28 days = Feb 28 2026.

So this means I can apply on Feb 28 2026.

There is only one fee, £2885, all applicants pay the same fee, regardless of age.

I am in the process of getting letter from sponsor (5 years Skilled Worker route), I have prepared below will this be fine or I need to mention my absence dates?

Please accept this letter as confirmation that Mr. XXX (DOB: XXX, NI: XXX) is currently employed by
[Company Name], located at [Company Address]. He has been a full-time, permanent employee in the
role of [Job Title] since August 2021. He works 37.5 hours per week with a gross annual salary of £XXX.

We expect his employment to continue for the foreseeable future. I can also confirm that his salary exceeds
the appropriate rate for SOC code 2134 (Programmers and software development professionals).
Furthermore, all absences during the qualifying period were approved, paid, and taken in accordance with
company policy.

This link says at point no.2

" The eligibility rules (paragraph SW 24.1.) require the sponsor to still hold a Skilled
Worker licence. The sponsor must confirm they require the applicant to work for
them for the foreseeable future, and the applicant will be paid at least the minimum
salary in paragraph SW 24.3. for the foreseeable future. The sponsor should not
assign a new CoS for this purpose – an email or letter is sufficient, as long as it can be verified with the sponsor if necessary. "

This means a letter / email from sponsor is required?

My dependents (spouse and three children) and I will be eligible for ILR under the Skilled Worker Set-O route starting 26 February 2026. I plan to submit my application using the Priority Service. Once my application is submitted and remains in process, can I proceed to submit my dependents' applications separately? If Yes, do I need to provide a letter mentioning the reason for separate application for dependents?

Thank you. A caseworker might ask why I didn't include my partner and children in the same application as myself. If I apply using the Priority Service while my dependents apply via Standard Service, how will the decisions be made? Will they decide my application first and then process my dependents' applications separately?

You are making baseless assumptions. The caseworker will not ask such a thing, as your dependants are not required to apply with you at all. Your dependants application or any decision on it depends on yours. They will NOT decide anything on theirs unless yours is decided. The rules do not allow them to get ILR before you at all
