A few queries on Tier 1 application

I have my Tier 1 appointment on 16th July in Chennai. I intend to apply my Tier 1 first and later for my wife and daughter. I have the following questions.

Filling the application form

1) I intend to travel later this year to the UK. I plan to notify the date of traveling to UK as Nov 1st 2010. Would that be a concern since I am applying for the visa as early as July ?

2) Part 5a - Details of Spouse / children joining the applicant at a different date. I assume that even though I will apply their visa on a later date, I should declare their details. Please confirm this understanding. Also, my daughter doesn't have a passport yet. Is it ok to leave her passport number blank or write NA there and give relevant information in Part 7 additional information section ?

Supporting documents for Tier 1 application

1) I lived in the UK for a year in 2008 and have some savings in GBP which I intend to show as a proof for maintenance funds. These are held with State Bank of India as a NRI account. Is showing proof in GBP from India a concern for me ? I tried searching this forum for similar instances but couldn't find one. I have got the letter from the bank confirming availability of funds, date, and that it could be withdrawn anytime.

2) Ok. This one is silly but wanted to clear this as well. For the self assessment on my previous earnings that needs to be submitted with the form, I used my gross earnings and not net to calculate points. The guidance on UKBA website says 'Earnings from salaried employment will be assessed before deduction of tax' (cannot be more straight forward). Am i correct in using my gross earnings to calculate points ?

No, the farthest date that you can apply for is 2 months i believe or max 3..please confirm this

Dont leave it as blank..just mark as not available and mention in your cover letter that you will be applying for the passport.

For all types of visa, you can apply up to 3 months in advance of your intended date of travel to the UK.
