ILR for dependent child

Post by suraj2012 » Sat Oct 29, 2011 2:05 pm

Can someone please le me know if i can appply for my dependent childs ILR along with my application. I am 'old work' permit holder and have finished five years in UK
My wife and kid joined me one and half year ago as work permit dependents. Wife still have to pass life in the UK test and she has not completed two years here yet
I was wondering if child can apply along with me and if we both granted, then wife can apply for FLR(m)
another option was just me applying for ILR and then wife and child on FLR(m)
any suggestions will be highly appriciated

1. You may include the child in your settlement application.
2. Your spouse is not subject to the "2 years" residential requirement, but will need to pass LITUK to be eligible for settlement at the same time as you.

Hi Suraj2012. I am in a similar situation as you are. Can you confirm if you had gone through the ILR process for your wife with less than 2years in the UK?

Was there any particular reason why you did not choose to apply your wife's ILR along with your application ( wondering as this would have saved you some money on application fees)
