How can it be a copyaqilzeeshan wrote:Hi,
After first year of my employment company gave me P60 that was original but in second year our accountant changed and the P60 i got is photocopy and same is expected this year. My question is , since P60 is very important document for ILR , is it ok to present photocopy of P60 or shall i ask my company to give me original, do that make any difference for ILR ? do i have right to ask company to give orginal copy of P60 as employee ?
thanks in advance

What i have got is exactly this http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/forms/p60.pdf but photocopy in black and white not the one as shown in the link though for first year of my job i got exactly the one shown in the link the colored one.
Do you guys are suggesting that the one in black & white photocopy is also considered original ? To me original is colored filled with figures written on it but the photocopy is copy of the colored filled one with figures written on it and the photo state of it.
I think you are making more of this than it is.aqilzeeshan wrote:I got following reply from my company accountant.
What you guys say about it.
You must use the P60 I give you and only that P60 you cannot use any of the services below.
For tax year ending 2007 you received a manually completed P60. For Tax year ending 2008 you received a P60 which was printed directly from the Inland Revenue Payroll software, it is an original just printed in black and white and is a direct print of what was sent electronically to the inland revenue. Because company had less than 9 employees in the UK for that tax year I could submit everything electronically.
You should not have a problem using this form.
For tax year ending 2009 you will receive the same printed form.
I have just called the Inland Revenue Help Line and they confirm that the printed copy of the P60 is the only one you will get and you should have no problem using.
I hope this helps. [/b]
