Given the new submit feature, most likely your processing starts even before submitting biometrics. Dont worry your documents are complete. If UKVI wants extra documents, they will write to you. There is some problem. You should keep contacting UKVCAS and force them to fix this. He should have given access to the booking system way earlier. Ok- I am chasing them. Your documents for child 18+ are fine as stated above. I am assuming by “biometrics”, you mean passport bio page? No absence letter is needed. Good to go.
