Many thanks both. I have a letter from the Letting agents stating that my wife is a permitted occupier, although the letter was created in February as we had plans to get married earlier in the year. Hopefully the letter is still valid in the eyes of the UKBA.

I have just realised that I will be unable to attend my scheduled Surrender Certificate appointment. I am unable to cancel or re-schedule this appointment due to the 48 hour rule. Will there be a problem in applying for the surrender certificate again?
