Accomodation-Spouse Visa Urgent Help Please!!

Post by kg8 » Thu Oct 01, 2020 6:35 pm

Dear Board Members, I'd really appreciate your help and advice.

My wife is going to apply for a spouse visa from her home country and my tenancy ends in the next 3 months. She is going to put that she intends to join me in 2 months time. Will this be a problem? I am renting privately, I have been at this property for 15 months and I plan to either extend or move to another rented property.

Please advise if my tenancy needs to be longer to satisfy the accomodation needs?

I meet the financial requirements through income as an employee of a company.

Thanks in advance!

Not matter as long as current accommodation is suitable. Get the required evidence supplied i.e. tenancy agreement, NOC from landlord or agent. If still worried about remaining duration, you can state plan that you are going to be on a rolling contract after the tenured one on the tenancy.

After the ban on tenancy fees most of the existing tenancies on its expiry aren't renewed and left on statutory periodic means continuation of previous tenancy on monthly basis. However, if you wish to leave the present property or renewing the tenancy at existing property then request the landlord to add your partner as "permitted occupier"

Many thanks both. I have a letter from the Letting agents stating that my wife is a permitted occupier, although the letter was created in February as we had plans to get married earlier in the year. Hopefully the letter is still valid in the eyes of the UKBA.

Ideally ask the same letter with latest date.

Urgent Help Please! Bank Statements for Spouse Visa

Post by kg8 » Tue Oct 13, 2020 5:58 pm

Hi Forum Members,

I have a current account and savings account in the same bank and my monthly salary gets paid into my current account. I am above the threshold limit for financial requirement for spouse visa. I generally move money from my current to savings in anticipation of saving, but sometimes I move money from savings to the current account. Will this be a problem as it looks like my salary goes into my current account and I then get some incoming money from another account?

Do I need to show both account bank statements or only where my salary is paid into?

Help will be appreciated!!!
