I have dual nationality, Thai and Australian.
Firstly you should realise that Malaysia forbids dual nationality, so you should in reality give up your malaysian citizenship when you took out Canadian citizenship.
Secondly, my general rule when travelling around Asia is to use one passport only, especially when crossing land borders in the region. In my experience, Singapore has questioned the stamp trail in my PP, both at Changi and at the Woodlands cause way. Malaysia does not recognise dual nationality at all, even for foriegners, so they insist you keep using the same passport that you used in the country you just departed.
