ADULTS APPLYING FOR BRITISH CITIZENSHIP
AN
Naturalisation £1282
It won't cause a prolem. Your British certificate and passport will be printed without the 2 dots anyway.1) My exact name is Loïc with 2 points on the i. It is shown this way on my french passport. Since I have been living in the UK, I have always used Loic without the 2 points on the i. Also, on all official documents like HMRC self assessment, Permanent Residency, life in the UK test I used capital letter for both first name and surname so never had the chance to point out that difference (apart from back of photo that need to be provided). Should I add to my application a letter explaning this ? I don't want it to cause any problem on the future as it would be different from my foreign passport...
Should be fine.2) Regarding the referee, it is a problem if the british citizen being my referee is living abroad ? I found nowhere it being an issue but just would like to be sure of it.
It is so that if the photo is misplaced they are able to match it to the correct application.3) maybe silly question.. page 19/30 of the form AN, it is asked to provide a photo, put name and date on the back then glue it on the form. That looks strange to me to write something on the back then glue it. I guess I should use a glue not that strong so they can still read after unsticking it ?
Point 7.7 and the block are not relevant to your circumstances you describe.4) at the end of the form AN page 27/30, they ask for "special circumstances" where I think I fail to meet some requirements. I have actually been out of the UK 95days in the last year so more than 90days normally accepted but as I read in the booklet, it is "normally disregarded" when < 100days. Reason is I actually just moved to another job this year so spent many more days abroad than the other previous 7 years. In the booklet, they advised to justify it telling that I am commited to stay in the UK. Should I provide a letter showing a bought a home here and plan to stay and give job contracts to show I indeed changed job this year and this was unusual ?
