Oral appeal process

Post by a_mahla » Wed Mar 05, 2014 10:56 am

Hi

I my T1/ENT visa was rejected & I have applied for an oral appeal yesterday thru my solicitor. He says Appeal has been filed & would get a acknowledgement within 2 week time with a hearing date. I am doubtful coz I haven't paid him the appeal fees(£140). Although I have paid him his fees in full.

My 10 working days of right to appeal is getting expired on 07/03/14 (Friday)

I just wanted to know when would U generally receive any acknowledgement from concern department or when can we get reference number or cross verify from UKBA side that they have recd my appeal

I don't wana skip on my 10 working days.

It would be great full if any senior member can guide me on this.

Hi.
Sorry to hear about your refusal.
did your solicitor send the appeal form by post or by fax?
Did u fill in the payment section in the appeal form?
If you done it then you don't worry plus these days tribunal are very busy so you have to wait for your appeal acknowledgment and hearing date.
Hope it helps

Hi

Thank you for your reply khan_81.

I have spoken to my solicitor he said me that he have logged my appeal & once the appeal is accepted then I would have to pay £140 the fees for the appeal.

I am not sure in this stuff. Just wanted to clarify is it that's how it works.

a reminder about the appeal fee will follow shortly if you submitted your appeal within given time, if you can not make or act up on this reminder from tribunal you will loose the right of appeal.

you should speak to tribunal operatives on phone and can pay them(if they let you) using your card if you are really worried about it you otherwise should receive a reminder showing a dead line you need to pay within and methods as to how to pay in next few days as it normally happens.

keep eye on your lawyer he does not sound competent one may bring more falls in your case as it proceeds further
thanks,
