Application variation from FLR O to ILR

Dear All

My question is I have applied for ILR ( 10 years ) , a short back ground of my application,,,as I was short of few days, my solicitor advised to put FLR O and then vary the application, so we did the same, I sent my application for FLR O with my wife's application aswell on time, and payment was deducted and received the acknowledgment within 3 days, then after a week time we sent the application for ILR with covering letter stating for the variation of application and all relevant documents and paid the difference for the application which was 473 through cheque. the payment was deducted today and received the acknowledgment letter that the application is passed to the case worker.

My question is how long is the process for the variation of application ?

How does is work out for the variation of application ?

Will I receive any acknowledgement that my application is in process of variation ?
