Spouse visa

Post by Avtarkooner » Sun Mar 16, 2014 9:14 pm

I got married in uk in 2013.my wife is british born n citizen. In june 2013 i got spouse visa for 30 months till
dec 2015. Me n my wife was doing part time jobs.n show share income 18600. Now m working full time .but my wife left the job. Now m worried when i will apply for extension for next 30 month. Do home office check my tax n income for last 30 months
or just 6 months old pay slips n tax. Do my wife
need to work full time or part time
Or i can show my income for 6 months.
Which language test i need to do
B1 or life in uk or both
Thx

I don't know about the language test, however for income you only need to evidence earnings equivalent to 18,600 per year in the 6 months prior to the application. It does not matter if the payslips are yours, your wife's or a combination of the 2. It will probably be easier paperwork wise if you just use one job from one person.

You did your spouse application on both incomes to meet 18,600? I was told It had to be me as the sponsor to meet the full 18,600?

Also, when my husband's visa is due in 2016, when we haave to apply again, we have to meet the same requirements, again, it will be my income solely, that has to meet the 18,600? And in which case would they accept both people's earnings to the 18,600 as I am due my first child in August and come 2016 may only be part time, and nowhere near 18,600!

Thanks for any help in advance

Now that your husband is here on a spouse visa both incomes will be counted when the time comes for him to extend.

Are you sure? Where can I read on this? Any links to extension form rules etc, as have been worrying come 2016 I won't be making 18,600 again :(
