PEO Croydon - Tier 1 General to ILR 19th March 2014

Post by sma123 » Mon Mar 24, 2014 10:41 am

Hi everyone i recieved the ILR approval last week 19/3/14 .

For everyone`s benefit my details below:

Tier 1 General Visa Stamped: 7/4/09
Entered UK: 15/4/09
Wife Entered UK: 4/7/09
Extension recieved: 29/5/12

2010 & 2011 had 2 children in UK. Added them as my dependants on Tier 1. So both had Tier 1 Dependant visas on their passports.

ILR Premier Appointment and Approval recieved at Croydon PEO: 19/3/2014

Did not include children to save approx £2500 on ILR fees, will be applying for their naturalisation directly since theyr both born here.

Wife had FPN last year for driving by herself on provisional license. But did not effect the application.

Appointment was at 9:45am and approval Letter recieved 12:30pm.

They did not ask for specific documents and took ALL the documents in all together.

Thankfully i had kept all documents well organised in a folder with contents sheet. Contents of folders as follows:

SET (O) FORM
PAYMENT CONFIRMATION
PASSPORTS AND BIOMERTIC CARDS
PAYSLIPS 1ST FEB 2013 - 31ST JAN 2014 12 MONTHS
ADDITIONAL PAYSLIPS 2009-2014
P60’s 2009 - 2013 & HMRC CONFIRMATION LETTER
COMPANY LETTERS & ANNUAL LEAVE CONFIRMATION
HSBC BANK STATEMENTS 2013 – 2014 12 MONTHS
LIFE IN UK TEST CONFIRMATION CERTIFICATES
ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEST CERTIFICATE (DEPENDANT)
BSC DEGREE CERTIFICATE (MAIN APPLICANT)
COHABITATION EVIDENCE

No photocopies were required! It took me 3-4 hours photocopying all these documents and turns out none were required!

If anyone has any questions let me know.

congratz.

What was your English language proof.

Were you asked to provide Employer letter for holidays or you just provided with application as standard?

thanks

Hi my degree was from recognised institute so english test not required. Wife took test level B5 speaking n listening test.

Annual leave letter is new requirement now for ppl on tier 1 general. Previously it was for work permit holders only.

They checked the company letter

Although it dosent explicitly say anywhere the amount of maintainance funds required, but in section 11A Set(O) form it says the following:

''Evidence of your finances. If you have to complete section 5, bank statements, building society savings
book(s), pay slips or other formal documents as evidence of your ability to maintain and accommodate yourself and any dependants without recourse to public funds.''

So in my opinion you should still maintain funds in the bank account to avoid any queries by a caseworker having a bad day. I have seen other members in the forum who were asked by the caseworker to show evidence of maintainance! Better be safe than sorry.
