Living in British Overseas Territories as living in the UK?

I got my British Tier 1 visa last year. It says you have to live in the UK for 5 years to be a British citizen. If you live like 3 years in Bermuda and British Virgin Islands during that 5 year period, can you still be qualified to be a British citizen?
