Do i have to apply for a family visitor visa?

I'm going to the UK to visit my sister and will be staying with her. do i have to apply for a family visitor visa or is general visitor still an option?

Depends on the immigration status of your sponsor.

She has been in the UK for over 8 years and has permanent leave to remain
