Ansences fron the UK and maintenance funds

Post by sparkly » Thu Apr 10, 2014 4:31 pm

Hi All,

Please, I request your kind and swift resonses to my query. I will be submitting my application for ILR in the next couple of days having completed 5 years continous residence in the UK on Tier 1 General since March, 2009. My concerns are that; Is maintenace fund of £900 savings for 90 days required for ILR? 2. I have recorded a total of 71 days of absence ( non was more than 21 days within a single year) from the UK during my 5 years of continuous stay. I took Annual paid holiday from work to spend time, provide care for my aged parents and paid last respect to one of them who passed away in 2012. Do I need to provide explanations and documentary evidences to justify these short Holiday travels even though the rule says one must not be absent for 90 days( 3 months) within any given year?

Thank for your help
