Tier 1 General - 3rd Extension

Hi All,

i need your advice on the following (which will help alot others as well in similar situation)

I first got Tier 1(G) for 3 years in Dec 2008 - Dec 2011 (3 years)
Then got 1st extension in Jul2011-Jul2013 (2 years)
Then got 2nd extension in June2013-June2015 (2 years)

My ILR period probably is going to start from 8 May 2012, so I would be going to apply for an extension.So need to have visa till 8 May 2017.

It looks like on theforum all the people got 3 years visa in the 2nd extension (if the initial grant is of 3 years). even if people initially didnt receive the 2 years visa in 2nd extension they mentioned the error to ukba and got 3 years. due to 245CB

I probably should have asked for 3 years as well.

Now, for third extension, will it be 3 years or 2 years !!
Is there any way to confirm this ?

For Grant approved under pre April 2010 rule the extension should be 2 years. All other cases it shall be three. For you it seem it may be 2 years by rule
