letter from previous employers

hi,

when leaving my previous company i got a letter signed from them stating my days of business and annual leave travel outside UK. This letter is dated to when i left that company.
Now when i go for ILR early next year will this letter suffice or i need to go back to them and ask for a letter at a date closer to my ILR application ?
