I m currently working in UK using a work permit visa. Both my work permit and leave to remain will expire on 31st december, 2004. Recently, I got an extension on my work permit till 2007 but I have not applied for an extension of my leave to remain, yet, as I m planning to go on holiday from the 30/10/2004 - 20/11/2004

My two questions are:

1) Could I apply for an extenssion on my leave to remain at the Britsh Embassy in my coutry, providing them with my job offer letter and work permit extenssion?

2) If not, would it be possible to re-enter UK with a leave to remain wich will have only 40 days left on it.
