ICT 2 Long Term to ICT 2 General or any other work visa

I got ICT 2 Long Term visa on Aug 2013 and currently i am with my family in UK, i would like to know if i can change it my any means to ICT 2 General or any...

1. Will i be able to change the Sponsors and Job here
2. Can i get ICT 2 general or any visa where in i can be independent and stay in UK searching for any other job..

I request you to please help me...

1.) No. You would be subject to a 12 month cooling off period. You would need to leave the UK for a period of at least 12 months. Not sure if many sponsors would be willing to wait! Also, you would need to meet the requirements for a Tier 2 general visa...
2.) All visas require a sponsor except for Tier 1 Entrepreneur. This requires you to start a business and invest substantial amounts of money.

Subject: Switching from Tier 2 ICT Long term to Tier 2 General
Visa stamped: July 2013 till August 2016

As you know I was in UK from Sept 2013 till Dec 2013 and left country in Dec 2013 as the assignment got over. Now I got letter from UK Visa and Immigration Curtailment team mentioning below:

"You were granted leave to enter as a Tier 2 migrant until 31 Aug 2016 in order to undertake employment at my company. However, the home office was informed by my company that you ceased to be employed by them.

Home office records have been checked and there is no evidence that you have made as application to change your sponsor or made a fresh application for entry clearance,leave to enter or leave to remain in UK in any capacity.

Therefore as you have ceased employment as notified your Tier 2 Sponsor you leave is curtailed until 26 May 2014. Before your current leave to enter expires you must either leave the UK or submit a fresh application for leave to remain. If you leave UK your leave to enter will lapse and you may require a visa to enter the UK"

Can you please tell me few things -
1. Since they have mentioned that I have not applied for change of sponsor.....can I change sponsor without serving the cooling period??
2. Should i apply for change or sponsor/File a fresh tier 2 without serving cooling period?
3. Also they have Not mentioned anything like i need to sever cooling period.

That is just a generic letter saying your visa has been curtailed, as you are no longer working for your employer. I think the implication here is that you have not submitted any outstanding applications, which would extend your leave by virtue of 3C. I do hope you have kept your boarding card from when you left the UK to prove that you did indeed leave then. My interpretation of the rules is that this letter will in no way exempt you from the 12 month cooling off period.

If I would have been in UK then was there any possibility to change to Tier 2?

If you were on Tier 2 ICT long term, your only option to stay in the UK on any Tier 2 would have been to continue with your ICT or to become the dependent of a Tier 2 General worker...

Thanks once again...Its really bad on rule setup by board.. i.e if a person who had got an visa for 3 yrs and if he/she would have traveled for a single day on that visa and if he/she comes back to home country then the rule says the person need to wait for 1 long year as cooling which sounds very very bad way of implying rules...

my god..crazy..is there any alternative...
