Tax issue

Post by kpk1234 » Fri Apr 25, 2014 1:15 pm

I have recently started a second job and my tax was not deducted correctly through PAYE as a result underpaid tax. I have notified HMRC who said the underpaid tax for the last financial year 2013 - 2014 will be deducted using tax code during 2015 - 2016. The adviser stated I don't have to pay anything yet. I am due to apply for ILR this august do you think this will cause any issues? The underpaid tax is approx £300. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks Amber :)

HMRC stated they will send me a letter to let me know about what will happen about underpaid tax. So you think its good idea to include this letter with my application.

Its just £300. Why don't you pay it?

it's a non-issue like Amber said

do not bring it up

by bringing up any non-issues you just risk confusing a caseworker who may or may not have completed more than 5 GCSE's
