ILR Eligibility

Hi,

It would be great if someone could advise whether should I go for another extension or for ILR?. I came to UK on Tier 2 - ICT visa on 21/08/2010 and then I switched to Tier 1 General on 26th Jan 2011 and continued working for the same employer who sponsored me originally till Mar 12th 2011. I left UK on 12th of March 2011 as my deputation was over and went back to formally resign my job and take a short vacation before I relocate to UK permanently. I moved to UK on 29th of July 2011 (the same year) and been employed till now.

I wasn't sure whether I could consider the time between 12/03/2011 and 29/07/2011 for ILR. If yes, should I submit the letter of explanation for my absence?, also, I wasn't economically active as I was in India payroll between 26/01/2011 and 29/07/2011. Will this affect my ILR application in anyway?

Please note that I cannot count the time when was in Tier 2 visa (i.e., b/w 21/08/2010 & 25/01/2011) for ILR. Please let me know if any of these doesn't make sense.

Hi All,

Just to make my case clear enough for you to respond.

After I left UK on 12th of March 2011, I continued to work for the employer who sponsored me originally till 15th of July and took a small break of couple of weeks and came back to UK on 26th of July. In case, if I need to submit a self explanatory letter, what would be the suitable reason to state?, reason that I worked in the offshore is acceptable?. I need to know this as soon as possible to decide whether I need to go for an another extension now as I'm unemployed now and not very sure whether I will secure a job with enough earnings by the time they close the extension, i.e. 6th of April 2014.

It would be great if senior members could look into this please and respond.

Should be ok for ILR so far as absences are less than 180 days per 12 month period.

Do you think a self explanatory letter for this is sufficient?, or do I need to submit a letter from my ex-employer?. I can submit my payslips and bank statements to prove that I worked for them.

If you're going for a PEO you're unlikely to be asked for evidence.
