TIER-2 Help regarding a few questions.

Post by debrancherenzym » Wed May 07, 2014 5:02 pm

Hi,

I have been in the UK for 6 months on a sportsperson visa playing for a rugby club and they want me back for next season since we got promotion and i am looking to work here as well. So i got a job offer from a company that sponsors the rugby club and i am looking to go back since my visa expires on 27th of May.

My questions :

- i am going to apply this time in the general category since i have a job offer apart from the rugby club's letter confirming that they want me for next season but on the border agency site, they say that the minimum salary should be 20,500pa and the starting offer i have from the job is below that. What would happen if i apply with this amount and still i present my bank statements showing that i can handle myself in the first month since the accommodation for first month will be on the rugby club. Is it of utmost importance that the pay should be 20,500pa or above that ?

- how important is IELTS to apply for a work visa.
- The job offer is from a company not listed in the list of sponsors. How can this effect me?

thanks.

Please? anyone ? Any help will be appreciated as i want to know this urgently.

my only concern is that if the company willing to offer me is huge, and private but not on the sponsor list, what will happen. because this rugby club wants me for their next 3 years and are willing to offer me job for the next season as one of the sponsors for the rugby club is this company.

On a Tier 2 General visa, they will need to be a registered sponsor to be able to sponsor anyone. Then they will have to follow all the sponsorship rules such as a resident market test; meet the correct graduate level job; pay the appropiate salary for that job title. If they don't meet all of this then your application will fail.

What is the job title they have offered you?
