Suggestion

Post by kpk1234 » Tue May 06, 2014 1:10 pm

Hi ,

I am soon applying for my ILR under TIER1 (general) route. I am married to a British Citizen since Dec 2012 and I lived in UK since 2007. Can I go for British citizenship as soon as I got my ILR. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

KPK

Yes, assuming you meet all of the standard requirements.

I have just been reading on gov.uk. Do I have to wait 12 months after getting ILR or can I apply for Naturalisation within 2 months of getting my ILR via marriage route?

Thanks in Advance

Regards,

KPK

No, as it's a section 6(2) application, you're the spouse of a British Citizen.

See also, the requirements (click).
