Dependent ILR Rules

Post by sandy1318sandy » Thu May 08, 2014 12:57 pm

I am on Tier 1 General since July 2009 and will be applying for ILR in July 2014. My wife came to UK in March 2011; please can someone advise she is now eligible for PR along with me or should she complete 5yrs in UK, as she is under old rules, but there are rumours that from April 2014 all dependents should have completed 5yrs in UK to be eligible for PR

Thanks in advance

She may apply with you. B1 English and LIUK required.

Thanks Amber, so please can you confirm that there is no change in rules from April 2014 regarding spouses visa?

Not for PBS deps on a route to settlement no, so far as they don't switch to FLR(M).

Thanks Amber, sorry i am a bit confused, she is actually on Tier 1 General Dependent Visa and in UK since March 2011, so when we apply for ILR in July 2014 she is eligible for ILR rather than apply for FLR, please confirm if my understanding is correct

sorry for the trouble

Sorry to bother again

I have seen somebody mention that the rules for dependent ILR have changed on 06.04.2014 and all dependants need to complete 5 years to be eligible for ILR.

As mentioned previously my wife came to UK in March 2011 and we have ILR appointment on 01.07.2014, please can you advise as soon as possible? i am a bit worried now

Thanks in advance

Sandy

As I've already said, that's not applicable to you.
